Author’s Note – The following blog post on the subject of customizing your player may also be found as a video tutorial in the Need Help section of your iPlayerHD content manager.  The video is titled, appropriately, Sharing and Embedding Videos.

So, you’re ready to share your video with the world. That’s great! iPlayerHD makes sharing and embedding your video simple. With a wide range of sharing options, you’ll be able to meet your viewers where they are, whether that be through social media, email, or even a website.

Once you’re logged in to iPlayerHD, navigate to the Videos page.

Choose the video you’d like to embed, and click on the image. This will take you to the video options page.

Under Display, choose Embed and share.

You should now see all of the sharing and embedding options available.

The first option is Web Page embed, which allows you to embed the video player directly into a web page.

The second option you’ll see is Popover embed. Again, this allows you to embed your video, but the video player pops up when someone clicks on a thumbnail image or link. You can find a tutorial on using the Popover embed feature here [link to tutorial/blog post].

Link in email is the third option available. As you can imagine, this feature allows you to add your video to emails. Use this tutorial [link to video/blog] for help setting up the Link in email feature.

  1. Social share is the final option. Facebook and Twitter are available for direct sharing. You’ll also see a link that can be used for sharing the video, as well as a link to download the video.

Of course, we’re always here to help you share your video. Feel free to contact the iPlayerHD support team by emailing support@iplayerhd.com.
