Coloring your players has never been easier (and more fun)!
All of us at iPlayerHD are pleased to announce that we have updated our video player with a new control bar. And we have given iPlayerHD users more control bar customization tools in their content management systems.
We think you’ll agree that the look and feel of the bar is much more contemporary – it is larger and now “floats” at the bottom of your player.
Some of the features include:
- Easily customize all of your shared players and playlist pages without reinstalling code.
- It’s a breeze to set the background color of your control bar (Controls background). That’s new.
- Also new? You may now set the background color behind your playlist thumbnails exposing (or not) the page background where embedded (Player background).
- You may use the Account/Overrides page to makes changes to all of your video players no matter where they are embedded (not including social sites). Or you may override your default settings on a per player basis giving you additional customization options.
Have a look at your new player.
Below is a video explaining how easy it is to use the new color chooser. Mouse over the player to see the new control bar and be sure to watch the video.
You may also go to your website to have a look at your videos with the new control bar. There’s nothing you need to do as the update applies to all players.
The video is best viewed in full screen mode.
The new color chooser really is a breeze to work with and, by the way, you can even colorize the text. And we have given you a transparency slider tool in each setting allowing more precise control.
So that’s it. A new player today.
Please let me know what’s on your mind. About the player. Or about anything else. Heck, I’ll even talk about that new guy…well, no, I think perhaps not.
If you have previously customized your control bar, you will find your work has been preserved. Of course if you find an issue, please let us know immediately. While we test over and over and over again, unpredictable things can happen.
